I never wanted to follow a straight path, so here I am on the windy one.
After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Actuarial Science, I bought a one-way ticket to Australia and spent 1+ years traveling, working odd jobs, swimming with sharks, making art, and figuring out what I actually wanted my life to look like. I came home thinking I’d become an actuary, but life had other plans.
Since then, I’ve built a career in technology and product management, lived in Hawaii, traveled, surfed a lot of waves, traveled some more, and continued finding my way back to the things that make me feel most like myself: creating, exploring, and being near the ocean.
Art has always been the creative thread running through my life. I love drawing, digital illustration, painting, and creating things inspired by surfing, nature, travel, and whatever happens to be living in my head at the time. My analytical side and creative side may seem like opposites, but I’ve realized I need both.
These days, I’m living back in coastal California, working in tech, surfing, creating, and still figuring out what’s next. Maybe that means building something of my own, illustrating a book, designing surf-inspired art, or taking this in a direction I haven't thought of yet.
Six years ago, I ended this bio by saying I was excited to see where my reignited passion would take me.
Turns out, I still am.
